Description
Your partner has opened in a minor, you have a 5 card major and respond at the 1 level, the opener rebids 1NT. Responder wants to show the 5 card major and at least invitational values. How do we communicate our hands and find the best contract? One tool is the New Minor Forcing Convention.

This course will focus on initiating the New Minor Forcing convention and the continuing auction. What does the responder do with a minimum, medium, or maximum hand? How does the opener interpret the responder’s bid? How does the auction continue?

Each week the facilitator will introduce the topic and then participants will bid, play and discuss hands related to the topic of the day. Handouts and hand records will be provided.

Continuing Auction and practice week

Week 3: 
Opener’s rebid 2NT & New Minor Forcing

Week 4: 
Putting it all together.

All classes will be hosted on zoom and use the bridge playing program Shark Bridge. Participants do not need to purchase Shark Bridge; it is used for free through the facilitator’s account.
